Twenty Stewardship Ideas for the Month of May

As we enter the month of May, let us reflect on different ways that we can be better stewards. 

1. Join or start a summer bible study group.

2. Plan an outing with your family.

3. Introduce yourself to a fellow parishioner with whom you are unfamiliar.

4. Pray for peace on Memorial Day.

5. Help a neighbor who is physically unable clean their yard.

6. Invite someone to attend a weekend liturgy with you.

7.  Make a blood donation.

8. Show genuine hospitality to visitors at your church.

9. Don’t text when you drive.

10. Reduce your stress by getting outside and getting some exercise.

11. Drive courteously.

12. Make contact with a relative you haven’t seen in a long time.

13. Take time to pray each day.

14. Treat your family or loved one to a day at the museum.

15. Volunteer to participate in a community cleanup effort.

16. Make a gift to your diocesan annual appeal.

17. Plant flowers, shrubs or trees in a park or other location.

18. Collect stuffed animals from friends and neighbors, write messages to tie or clip onto the animals and give them to a local police department to use in comforting children.

19. Don’t drive while impaired by alcohol.
