At this year’s conference, ICSC is privileged to partner with Catholic Relief Services (CRS) and host a “Helping Hands” event. All ICSC conference attendees are invited to participate. CRS Helping Hands is a meal-packing program of Catholic Relief Services serving poor and vulnerable people in West Africa.
On Sunday, October 28, participants will gather in one of the hotel’s ballrooms to pack meals for our brothers and sisters in Burkina Faso. CRS has worked in this land-locked, West African country for more than 50 years. Burkina Faso was selected for these meals because families there depend on subsistence farming, a lifestyle made difficult by cyclical droughts and flooding. Not only will participants learn more about global poverty, they will be giving direct assistance to those who suffer from hunger.
